Tortillas Caliente metal print by Roger Parent. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description
Whereas most of my paintings of San Miguel de Allende, rely on color as a dominant design element, this image of two women preparing tortillas for customers, seen waiting in the upper right, required a more earthy palette, backlighting and chiaroscuro to capture their wonderful faces and gestures.
My palette for this painting reflects the dusty, earthy colors of the high desert. The intense turquoise blue of the background stresses the dominance of the figure on the left side. The two gestures echo each other and provide movement around the painting. The use of some charcoal line stresses the quality of the drawing which remains an important part of the finished painting.
