Artist's Description
Exhibited: Fla. Suncoast Watercolor Society, Art Center Manatee, March 2014.
Although this painting was inspired by ferns growing out of a palm on a hot summer day, the painting is really about color contrast and the rhythmic lines, some short and staccato within the ferns themselves, and other long and flowing in the tree itself.

I've seen this painting in person, and it is every bit as luscious as it appears here. Masterful brushwork!
