Artist's Description
Transparent watercolor, 21" X 29" on Arches Cold Press paper 140 lb. It received the 2015 Frank Nash Award from the Transparent Watercolor Society of the Americas and was exhibited at the Kenosha Museum of Art, Wisc; it was also accepted in the 2014 Florida Watercolor Society's juried statewide competition. The exhibition was held at the Cornell Museum of Art in Coral Gables, Florida. This painting was also included in the FWS's Travelling Exhibition held in Longboat Key and Tallahassee, Fl.
About Roger Parent
Roger Parent is a MASTER SIGNATURE MEMBER and served as President of the Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society, FSWS, 2011 - 2013. His work has received numerous awards and been accepted in regional, statewide and national juried exhibitions for his skillful use of vibrant color and lively brushwork. He is a direct painter and works primarily in watercolor, acrylics and pastels. He is a: SIGNATURE MEMBER of the Florida Watercolor Society, FWS, and was accepted in five of their recent annual statewide juried shows, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016 & 2017.
