Artist's Description
Although this painting was inspired by ferns growing out of a palm on a hot summer day, the painting is really about color contrast and the use of line in a painting. I aimed for a maximum variety of line, some are delicate and short, others long and flowing, some are thick others thin.
It was accepted in the December 2013 juried exhibition of the Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society show in Punta Gorda, Fl.
